PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal air battery that is excellent in output performance and discharge maintenance performance and capable of preventing constituent components from being damaged by product materials generated through a battery reaction.SOLUTION: The metal air battery has a cylindrical container main body 10 having a bottom, a lid body 20 which is detachably secured to the container main body 10, a cylindrical positive electrode body 30 which is fixedly disposed in the container main body 10, plural partially cylindrical negative electrode bodies 41 to 44 which are arranged in the cylindrical positive electrode body 30 so as to have a substantially common center axis to the cylindrical positive electrode body 30, a negative terminal 50 mounted on the inner surface of the lid body 20, and plural leaf spring type collectors 61 to 64 each of which is fixedly connected to the negative terminal 50 at one end side of the collector and fixedly connected to one end side of each of the partially cylindrical negative bodies 41 to 44 at the other end side of the collector.
