PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a determination apparatus, a determination method, and a computer program capable of improving accuracy of determination results when a determination is made based on image processing on image data of a test specimen.SOLUTION: There is provided a determination apparatus that acquires image data obtained by imaging a test specimen having a plurality of detectors fixed thereto and determines the presence or absence of reaction in the plurality of detectors from an image based on the acquired image data. The determination apparatus calculates a determination reference value corresponding to a gradation value indicating a level of brightness or one or more shades of colors based on a pixel value for each pixel in the image; converts a gradation value for each detector region identified as a region where each of the plurality of detectors is imaged in the image, to a relative value using the determination reference value; and compares a threshold value predetermined for each detector region and the relative value and determines the presence or absence of reaction for each of the plurality of detectors based on the comparison results by the comparison means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
