PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkylphenol-sulfur chloride co-condensation resin composition which contains as a main component an alkylphenol-sulfur chloride co-condensation product which is used suitably as a resin crosslinking agent for rubber, contains a less amount of volatile organic compound in the co-condensation product, has a high sulfur content, and has a softening point which is of the same level as a heretofore known alkylphenol-sulfur chloride co-condensation resin, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: An alkylphenol-sulfur chloride co-condensation resin composition having the aforementioned characteristics can be produced by: obtaining an alkylphenol-sulfur chloride co-condensation resin by reacting an alkylphenol and sulfur monochloride in the presence of a solvent; adding 0.1 to 50 wt.% of a compound containing at least one ethylenic unsaturated bond relative to 1 pt.wt. of the alkylphenol before removing by concentration the solvent used; and thereafter performing a mixing and concentration operation.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
