Provided is a charging control device that, when the actual state of charge of a secondary cell is greater than the maximum value that is the control center, causes the actual state of charge to quickly converge on the maximum value, efficiently performs charging, and allows any decline in fuel consumption to be suppressed. The charging control device 10 is provided with a discharge-charge amount integration unit 23 for calculating the cumulative discharge-charge amount IW of a battery 13, and a charge control unit 26 for switching the power-generation voltage and controlling charging of the battery 13 such that the recognized state of charge SOCr that is recognized on the basis of the cumulative discharge-charge amount IW is kept at a maximum value (80%) that is less than the fully-charged state. When a terminal of the battery 13 is detected to have detached by a terminal detachment detection unit 25, the charge control unit 26 prohibits charging of the subsequently reconnected battery 13 until the cumulative charge-discharge amount IW from the point in time that the detachment has been detected reaches a prescribed discharge amount (‒20%). |
