An information backup method, device, server and terminal, the method comprising: receiving an application backup request, the application backup request carrying installation package information for identifying a software installation package corresponding to the application (S102); according to the installation package information, determining whether the software installation package corresponding to the application exists on the server (S104); if so, receiving user data corresponding to the application uploaded by the terminal; and/or, if not, receiving a software installation package corresponding to the application uploaded by the terminal; and applying the corresponding user data (S106). The above method addresses the problem of server resource wastage caused by multiple users backing up the same application. |
