TIMEPIECE CAPABLE OF DISPLAYING SUNRISE AND SUNSET OF ALL PLACES OF WORLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece including sunrise/sunset display means taking into consideration seasonal fluctuations.SOLUTION: A timepiece includes sunrise/sunset display means 17, 27 taking into consideration seasonal fluctuations. The sunrise/sunset display means 17, 27 include a spherical body 17 reproducing the earth and a shell 27. The shell 27 is configured to be concentrically arranged with the spherical body and show a boundary between a portion of the earth where it is the nighttime and another portion where it is the daytime by displaying a position of a light-dark border line of the earth. The shell 27 can pivot around a terrestrial globe on two axes orthogonal to each other. The shell 27 is driven by a movement so as to rotate around a polar axis at a speed of one rotation for every 24 hours. A cutting mechanism is controlled by an annual cum having a side surface showing an inclination of the sun facing an equatorial plane. The cutting mechanism controls the inclination of the shell with the axis as a center by a drive shaft concentrically with the pole axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3C
