PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a remaining amount of a battery to be displayed with good visibility without inhibiting visibility of the other display of a meter cluster.SOLUTION: The display image generating system comprises: a battery remaining amount acquiring portion 11 that acquires a remaining amount of a battery for driving a motor of a vehicle; and an image generating portion 12 that generates a display image of a meter cluster display portion 40 having a meter display region. The image generating portion 12 displays at least one region in a background image of the meter cluster display portion 40, which overlaps with at least part of the meter display region in a display mode differing from the other display mode as a remaining amount display region 42, and can vary an area of the remaining amount display region 42 depending on the remaining amount of the battery.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
