PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for converging to a target tone correction strength, while changing an image smoothly regardless of the exposure time, when performing tone correction of an image captured at a predetermined frame rate.SOLUTION: A dodging strength calculation unit (104) calculates a target strength of dodging, on the basis of the luminance distribution of image signal of each frame. A dodging strength displacement amount calculation unit (108) calculates a larger displacement amount of dodging strength, when the charge storage time is longer than a predetermined time, than that when the charge storage time is shorter, on the basis of the target strength and the charge storage time of image signal of each frame. A dodging strength setting unit (107) sets the strength of dodging applied to the image signal of each frame, on the basis of the displacement amount, and the strength of dodging applied to the image signal of previous frame, and an image processing unit (105) performs dodging with the strength set to the image signal of each frame.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
