PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long acting parenteral pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of glatiramer.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a long acting pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of glatiramer salt in a depot form, suitable for the administration at a medically acceptable location in a subject in need thereof. The present invention also provides a method of treating multiple sclerosis, comprising the parenteral administration or implantation of a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of glatiramer, preferably glatiramer acetate.
