A light guide plate (10) and a backlight module having the light guide plate (10). The light guide plate (10) comprises an incident side surface (11), a first side surface (12), a second side surface (13) and a third side surface (14). The incident side surface (11) and the third side surface (14) are opposite to each other, and the first side surface (12) and the second side surface (13) are opposite to each other. The first side surface (12), the second side surface (13) and the third side surface (14) are respectively provided with a reflecting structure (16). When light rays are incident upon a side surface of the reflecting structure (16) from the incident side surface (11), the light rays are reflected by the reflecting structure (16) to the light guide plate (10), so that the bright band on the side surface of the light guide plate (10) can be avoided while the light utilization rate is increased, and the uniformity of the emergent light of the backlight module is improved. |
