The present invention is provided with: an organic compound treatment system (33) having a gas chamber (34); a cover (3) for covering a printing unit (2) of a printer; and a gas transport device (4) for taking in the gas of a volatile organic compound produced by the printing unit (2) from inside the cover (3), and transporting this gas to the gas chamber (34). Thus, it is possible to provide a printer gas recovery device capable of preventing a work environment in which a printer is installed from worsening due to the gas from the volatile organic compound.
