PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute hibernation transition processing safely and suitably shorten the time needed for the supply of power to stop, even when it is so configured that the power source is always turned off a certain time later by turning a power switch off.SOLUTION: An image processing device executes hibernation processing which, when a first time elapses after a power switch is manipulated by an operator so as to stop the supply of power, a stored content of a main storage memory used as a work area by a CPU is saved to a secondary storage device. Furthermore, when the hibernation processing is completed within a target time that is necessary for the hibernation processing and termination processing of the image processing device to complete before the first time elapses, the image processing device executes the termination processing after the hibernation processing is completed and stops the supply of power; when the hibernation processing is not completed within the target time, the image processing device suspends the hibernation processing and executes the termination processing and then stops the supply of power.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
