PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method for accurately measuring temperature dependency of rolling resistance.SOLUTION: An evaluation method of temperature dependency of rolling resistance of a tire includes: (1) a process in which the tire is rolled by a drum type tester at a fixed atmospheric temperature Ta, and a temperature Tt of the tire when it becomes an equilibrium state is measured; (2) a process in which the tire is cooled to a temperature Ti equal to or lower than the temperature Tt; (3) a process in which a relation between the temperature of the tire and the rolling resistance of the tire is measured by time-sequentially and continuously performing measurement of the temperature and measurement of the rolling resistance by a rolling resistance tester, for the cooled tire; and (4) a process in which rolling resistance at the temperature Tt is calculated from the relation between the temperature and the rolling resistance of the tire that is obtained in the process (3), and a value of the calculated rolling resistance is set as a value of rolling resistance when the tire is rolled in an environment of the atmospheric temperature Ta.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
