PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insulated rectangular conductor wire which suppresses film destruction and winkles (film floating) of an insulated film in a folded portion irrespective of the kind of a rectangular conductor wire, and has an insulated film excellent in insulation characteristics.SOLUTION: An insulated rectangular conductor wire includes: a rectangular conductor wire 10; and an insulated film coating the rectangular conductor wire 10. In the insulated rectangular conductor wire 1 where a predetermined bending working is scheduled, the insulated film includes: a first insulated film 11 coating the outer region where the bending working is scheduled in the outer periphery of the rectangular conductor wire 10; and a second insulated film 12 coating the inner region where the bending working is scheduled in the outer periphery of the rectangular conductor wire 10. The adhesiveness satisfies a relationship of first insulated film 11<second insulated film 12.
