PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a defective image and paper jamming due to errorneous detection at the time when a paper size is detected by a manual tray.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a CPU 301 that when a sensor, positioned at a downstream side in a conveying direction, of a manual paper presence or absence sensor 214 and manual paper length sensors 218 and 219 does not detect presence of a paper and an another sensor positioned further upstream in the conveying direction from the sensor that does not detect the presence of the paper, determines that detection of a size of the paper is abnormal. The CPU 301, when determining that the detection is abnormal, switches a screen to be displayed on a display portion 334 from a manual paper size display screen 500 to a manual paper size specification screen 600.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
