In the prediction of the iron loss of a non-oriented electrical steel sheet after shearing in which the non-oriented electrical steel sheet is sheared to a given width, the iron loss Wt(B0) of the non-oriented electrical steel sheet after shearing is calculated using a prescribed relational expression using the iron loss Wn(B1) of a non-processing-influenced portion in which processing strain has been introduced by the shearing and the iron loss Wi(B2) of a processing-influenced-portion in which processing strain has not been introduced.
