The present invention is a vehicle consumable item demand prediction system that uses telematics to appropriately ascertain the deterioration state of a consumable item of a vehicle, and predicts the demand for the consumable item needed at the time of maintenance at a repair shop, for example. According to a representative embodiment, the system is provided with: a vehicle information collection unit 11 which collects vehicle information collected for each vehicle 20 and information regarding maintenance results for the vehicles 20 and stores the foregoing information in a vehicle information accumulation database 16; an analysis unit 13' which, on the basis of the vehicle information, calculates the degree of deterioration of a consumable item for each vehicle 20 and records the same in a consumable item status database 63, tabulates the degrees of deterioration, and based thereon calculates a rate of deterioration and records the same in a deterioration rate trend database 64; and a demand prediction unit 61 which, on the basis of information that includes the degree of deterioration, the deterioration rate, a degree of deterioration threshold, a vehicle location, and an area in which a repair shop provides service, calculates the type and quantity of a consumable item that could need replacement at the repair shop, due to the degree of deterioration exceeding the threshold within a prescribed period of time. |
