This invention relates generally to mouthpieces designed to treat apnea and/or snoring. Previously, there was a need for an effective customized dental mouthpiece that can be assembled in the office with enhanced efficiency and reduced costs, without requiring additional laboratory time and expense. Embodiments of the present invention use an upper tray assembly (10) and a lower tray assembly (20), which are configured to be placed together and disposed within the user's mouth. The upper tray assembly has an upper tray (14) and an upper tray resin (12). Similarly, the lower tray assembly (20) has a lower tray (24) and a lower tray resin (22). The tray assembly is disposed within the user's mouth and oriented to permit the adaptable resin of the upper and lower trays to contact the dental arches of the user, enabling the dental mouthpiece to maintain an open airway in the user's mouth. |
