Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for customizing a user interface, the method comprising the steps of: classifying a plurality of contact addresses into one or more categories; registering, according to a user's input, at least one widget to be provided to a user according to a contact address category and a communication type; and when a communication event occurs, providing a user interface comprising the at least one widget registered for the contact address category and the communication type corresponding to the communication event. |
