PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of suppressing demagnetization of a permanent magnet while suppressing increase of cost.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 100 includes a permanent magnet type motor in which a ferrite magnet is used for a rotor. In stators of a fan motor 20A which is the permanent magnet type motor and a compressor motor 20B, aluminum wires are wound with a high space factor and by restricting and electrifying the aluminum wires without driving the fan motor 20A and the compressor motor 20B, the ferrite magnet is heated. Since the aluminum coil is wound with the high space factor around the stator, heating is enlarged even with a current less than a demagnetization limit current and the time for a magnet temperature to reach a desired temperature can be shortened. Even if an aluminum wire of which the thermoelectric conductivity is lower than that of a copper wire, is used, Joule heat generated by electrification can be effectively conducted to the ferrite magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
