PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an early warning method for a near-distance earthquake using a seismic wave at a single observation point, which determines that an earthquake is the near-distance earthquake and immediately outputs warning, when an estimated epicentral distance is smaller than a specified value determined in advance (or when a coefficient B or coefficient C inversely proportional to the epicentral distance is larger than a specified value determined in advance).SOLUTION: An early warning method for a near-distance earthquake using a seismic wave at a single observation point detects the P wave of the seismic wave, finds an epicentral distance by the B-Δ method or C-Δ method being epicentral distance estimation methods based on single observation point data, determines that the earthquake is the near-distance earthquake when the estimated epicentral distance is smaller than a specified value, and outputs warning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
