PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust core improved in deposition properties of an insulation coat with respect to soft magnetic metal powder, excellent in magnetic characteristics, and applicable for a large variety of uses.SOLUTION: Powder for a magnetic core mainly consists of magnetic powder 1 comprising soft magnetic metal powder 2 and an insulation coat 3 covering the surface of the soft magnetic metal powder. The insulation coat 3 is formed of an aggregate of crystals 4 that are obtained by the cleavage of a swelling layered clay mineral, and powder having a Vickers hardness of HV 98 or more is used as the soft magnetic metal powder 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
