A control method and an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a photographing unit configured to photograph a hand including fingers, a display unit configured to display a plurality of content objects, and a control unit configured to recognize a finger gesture of the photographed hand and a distance from the electronic device to the finger, and control the display unit to change and display a range of a displayed content object according to the recognized finger gesture and the distance.
