The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a method for invoking a local keyboard on an HTML page in a user terminal device and an apparatus thereof. The method for invoking a local keyboard in the present invention comprises the steps of: when a user terminal device loads an HTML page, analyzing the HTML page, and if there are page input boxes with recognition identifiers which need to invoke local keyboards, generating a local input box at each page input box with a recognition identifier, wherein the local input box covers the page input box located in the same position; setting the type of the local keyboard required to be invoked by each local input box; and transmitting, to a current HTML page, input information received by the local input box through a corresponding local keyboard. According to the present invention, by generating a local input box at a page input box with a recognition identifier, the invoking of a local keyboard, which cannot be invoked by the page input box, can be realized by the local input box. |
