PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To aggregate unused spectrum blocks into one contiguous virtual block in a satellite communication system or the like.SOLUTION: An input data stream D is allocated to N pieces of substreams by a slicer/demultiplexer 111 of a virtual spectrum aggregate transmitter 110. Each of a plurality of substreams of disjoint spectrum is coupled by a modulator 112 and aggregated into a signal Sc by a frequency multiplexer 113, thereby being configured into one contiguous virtual block, then modulated into a carrier signal C and up-linked to a satellite. A virtual spectrum aggregator receiver 160 down-converts a received carrier signal C' and obtains a spectrum fragment signal Sc'. The spectrum fragment signals Sc' demultiplexed by the frequency demultiplexer 164 are demodulated by a plurality of demodulators 162 and then coupled, and a substream D' is outputted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
