摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical magnesium hydroxide particle and magnesium oxide particle having high specific surface area and a manufacturing method for them.SOLUTION: There is provided a magnesium hydroxide particle and a magnesium oxide particle having a spherical shape where scaly primary particles aggregate, volume accumulation 50% particle diameter (D) by a laser diffraction scattering type particle size distribution measurement of 1.0 to 5.0 μm and specific surface area of 10 m/g or more and containing metal elements selected from Zn, Zr Hf or Ti of 0.01 to 4.0 mass% in terms of oxide. There is provided a manufacturing method of spherical magnesium oxide having high specific surface area by adding one or more compound selected from chloride or nitrate of bi- and tri-valent metal element to a dispersion containing one or more compound selected from Zn, Zr, Hf and Ti, then mixing a reaction liquid obtained by adding further organic acid and a magnesium oxide particle of which a surface is hydrogenated partially to conduct a hydration reaction under high shear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
