PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging method and a charging system for a secondary battery for charging the secondary battery at low cost within a reduced space and efficiently.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the charging system including: the secondary battery; a battery charger; a backflow prevention device for blocking a current flowing from the secondary battery to the battery charger; a discharger capable of cutting off a connection between a DC power source and a load; and a charge/discharge control part, and the charging method. While the secondary battery is charged, a voltage supplied from the DC power source is converted into a predetermined pulse voltage and supplied to the secondary battery. The predetermined pulse voltage has an ON period corresponding to a charging time required for completely charging an electric double layer capacity of the secondary battery, and has an OFF period corresponding to a time required for a battery voltage of the secondary battery that is increased by charging for the ON period of the predetermined pulse voltage, to be reduced into a voltage just before supply of the predetermined pulse voltage, and during the OFF period, the connection of th DC power source, the load and the secondary battery is cut off.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
