PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single capped lamp which causes no problem in the quality of a lamp outer tube, even if the ceramic cap and an inner tube or an outer tube are joined by adhesive, and the manufacturing process can be simplified.SOLUTION: In a single cap lamp where an inner tube having a ceramic cap and a pinch seal and an outer tube having an insertion opening at one end are joined by adhesive, an insertion opening of an inner tube sealing portion is provided in the central part of the cap along the long axis of the metal, and an adhesive inlet is provided in the cap side face at a position where the adhesive adheres to the inner tube sealing portion. Furthermore, a groove for introducing the adhesive between the outer tube and the cap is formed at the outer end of the adhesive inlet, a weir for blocking the flow of the adhesive is provided at the end of the groove, and the adhesive from the adhesive inlet fills the surface of the inner tube sealing portion and the interior of the groove.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
