PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor device that can properly sense a sensing object (workpiece W) to be conveyed irrespective of presence or absence of tremor or a shape of the sensing object (workpiece W), or without requiring complicate setting works.SOLUTION: A sensor device comprises a plurality of a pair of a light emitting element and a light reception element receiving light emitted from the light emitting element, and senses a sensing object (workpiece W) moving in accordance with a light shield state of optical axes (L1, L1,...) to be formed in an area between the light emitting element and the light reception element. The sensor device is configured to implement sensing using sensing optical axes (A1 and B1) composed of a part of the plural optical axes (L1, L1,...) in an initial state, and, when the optical axes of the sensing optical axes (A1 and B1) to be used in sensing in the initial state is shielded, extend the sensing optical axes (A1 and B1) by increasing the number of optical axes included in the sensing optical axes (A1 and B1).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
