1. A system for providing access to patient electronic health record (EHR) data items, comprising:
a computing system comprising at least one computing device having a processor, the computing system including at least:
an electronic health record module in electronic communication with an electronic data store configured to at least store clinical data including health records associated with a plurality of patients, wherein the electronic health record module is programmed via executable instructions that cause the computing system to at least:
receive from a user a selection specifying a patient of the plurality of patients;determine a time of interest associated with the health record, wherein the time of interest is associated with the user;access, from the electronic data store, a health record associated with the patient, wherein accessing the electronic data store comprises:
transmitting a request to the electronic data store, the request comprising at least a patient identifier corresponding to the patient, the time of interest, and authorization information associated with the user;receiving, from the electronic data store, a notification summary, wherein the notification summary specifies whether any items associated with the health record are new or have been updated since the time of interest, excluding any items associated with the electronic health record module; andproviding the notification summary to the user. |
