The present disclosure relates in general to methods for the treatment of neurodegenerative disease, such as Huntington's Disease, using compositions comprising cysteamine or cystamine or salts or derivatives thereof.

A method for treating Huntington's Disease comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a composition comprising cysteamine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof or cystamine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in a total daily dose of approximately 1000 to 1500 mg given in two doses.
