摘要 A battery control device according to an embodiment of the present invention has: a first transistor; a second transistor; a control unit; a detection unit; and a heat-generation protection unit. The first transistor is provided with a body diode, and controls charging of a battery. The second transistor is connected in series with the first transistor, and controls discharging of the battery. The control unit controls the first transistor and the second transistor to control charging and discharging of the battery. Furthermore, in a power-saving mode, the control unit controls the second transistor into a conduction state, and controls the first transistor into a non-conduction state. The detection unit detects the discharge current discharged from the battery. In the power-saving mode, the heat-generation protection unit sets the first transistor in a conduction state in cases when the detection unit detects a discharge current equal to or greater than a prescribed current value.
