In an information processing system 1, an image pickup device 12 picks up images of real objects 120a, 120b placed on a playfield 20. An information processing device 10 acquires the state of the playfield 20 from picked-up images or the like, and determines and controls the movement of the real object 120a according to the positional relationship between the real objects 120a, 120b, and user requests made through a microphone 16 and an input device 14. The information processing device also controls the real object 120b according to a user operation performed via the input device 14. The playfield 20 is formed by a projected image from a projector included in a display device 18. The projected image as well as audio from a speaker 19 are changed according to the movement of the real objects 120a, 120b.
