PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a rare earth magnet which is low in oxygen concentration with good workability.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a rare earth magnet comprises: a first step of manufacturing a cold molding 10 having a graphite-based lubricant coating 12 formed on a surface by applying or scattering a graphite-based lubricant GF onto an inner surface of a molding tool M, filling the molding tool M with magnetic powder MF as a rare earth magnet material, and carrying out cold molding; a second step of manufacturing a sintered body having a graphite-based lubricant coating formed on a surface by subjecting the cold molding 10 to hot molding; and a third step of manufacturing a rare earth magnet by performing hot plastic processing so as to impart anisotropy to the sintered body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
