User equipment in a mobile communication system in which packets of one bearer are split between a plurality of base stations, and the split packets of the bearer are transmitted from the plurality of base stations to the user equipment is provided with: a reception unit which sequentially receives the packets of the bearer from the plurality of base stations; and a duplicate packet processing unit which, when detecting a duplicate packet duplicating with some packet from among the packets received by the reception unit, determines whether a predetermined packet communication protocol including a header compression/expansion protocol is reset in the user equipment, and when the predetermined packet communication protocol is not reset, abandons the duplicate packet without performing header expansion processing on the duplicate packet.
