PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can prevent the generation of a security hole, a method of controlling the apparatus, and a program.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes response means for specifying user information corresponding to a user who has transmitted a log-in request and responding to the log-in request on the basis of the user information, and determination means for determining whether or not a password is set to the user information. Of two types of user authentication: ID password log-in that requires a password and a button log-in that does not require a password, when the button log-in is requested via an RUI of a PC, the image forming apparatus restricts execution of the button log-in.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
