PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic analyzer capable of preventing erroneous detection by a detection device even when water adhere to a target detection part corresponding to the position of reaction vessels.SOLUTION: The automatic analyzer includes: a cell holder 314 as a part a reaction vessel support part that supports plural reaction vessels 312; plural position detection plates 316 which are arranged corresponding to the reaction vessels; and a detection device 330 that detects each of the position detection plates. The position detection plate is disposed vertically on a projection part 318 protruding a predetermined distance from an outer edge part 315 in a horizontal direction.
