PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle wireless device which allows for further reduction in cost for adjusting the output value of an antenna in cabin, and an electronic key system.SOLUTION: When a determination is made that a portable terminal exists in a region outside of a cabin by a terminal position specification unit F3, an output level adjustment unit F4 cooperates with a transmission processing unit F1 to transmit response request signals sequentially, while raising the output level step by step from the minimum level until a response signal is received. When the response signal is received, an output level smaller by one step than the output level, that has been set at that moment in time, is employed as the output level after output level adjustment processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
