In an aspect of the invention, a wireless communication system (100) performs wireless communications by synchronizing a first band, which is dedicated to the wireless communication system (100), and a second band, which is shared by the wireless communication system (100) and another wireless communication system, with subframes of the first band. The wireless communication system (100) comprises a base station apparatus (110) that, when having detected an idle state of the second band, uses the second band to start the transmission of a data signal having a subframe length even during the subframe period and that uses, at the following subframe boundary, the first band to transmit both control information for decoding the data signal and timing information indicating the timing at which the transmission of the data signal was started. The wireless communication system (100) also comprises a terminal apparatus that holds the data signal transmitted by use of the second band and that decodes data from the held data signal by use of the timing information and the control information both transmitted by use of the first band. |
