PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting current lead capable of suppressing bending strain generated in a superconducting wire rod regardless of the arrangement mode of the superconducting current lead and capable of preventing the deterioration of superconducting properties due to the bending strain.SOLUTION: A superconducting current lead 10 comprises: a tape-shaped superconducting wire rod 11 formed by laminating an intermediate layer, a superconducting layer, and a stabilizing layer in this order on a metal substrate; metal electrodes 12 and 13 respectively connected to both longitudinal ends of the superconducting wire rod 11; and a reinforcing member 14 housing a lead body comprising the superconducting wire rod and the metal electrodes in a state where the metal electrodes are positioned with a predetermined interelectrode distance. The reinforcing member includes first restriction parts 141a and 143a respectively facing both tape surfaces of the superconducting wire rod, and second restriction parts respectively facing both widthwise end surfaces of the superconducting wire rod. The superconducting wire rod is arranged in a space formed by the first restriction parts and the second restriction parts with being close to the first restriction parts and the second restriction parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
