PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repair method for a drainer at a lower part of an exterior wall that enables repair of the drainer by working only from outside of the building, and the repaired drainer to be fixed securely on the exterior wall, at the same time preventing corrosion of an edge part of an existing exterior wall, rainwater leakage, and fall-off after repair.SOLUTION: After removing a lower part of an exterior wall 5 near a drainer installation place, or the lower part of the exterior wall along with an existing drainer, with existing furring strips 4, 4' left as is, substrate hardware members 6, 7 having a protrusion at a same place on an inner side and an outer side of a building are fixed on the existing furring strip 4, and then a new drainer 9 is fixed using the hardware members 6, 7. At the same time, a starter 11 is fixed in a horizontal direction at a lower edge part of the existing exterior wall, with a foam packing 10 in between. With the repair method for a drainer at a lower part of an exterior wall, only a part of the exterior wall is removed, instead of a large portion of the exterior wall, the repair method also enabling the drainer to be repaired without welding work and by working only from outside of the building.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
