PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external composition for skin having high moisture retention effect by activating skin cells and accelerating hyaluronic acid production.SOLUTION: The invention provides a rice fermented product by lactic acid bacteria obtained by fermenting rice with lactic acid bacteria belonging to Leuconostoc separated from the traditional sake yeast mash starter whose raw material is rice and rice malt, and having a cell-activating action and a hyaluronic acid production-promoting action; and a moisturizing agent and an external composition for skin containing the rice fermented product by lactic acid bacteria as an active ingredient.SELECTED DRAWING: None
