The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for verifying broadcasting content object identification based on web data. The apparatus comprises: a web data processing unit collecting and processing web data related to broadcasting content to generate content knowledge information, which is a shape of a tag to the broadcasting content; a content knowledge information storage unit storing the content knowledge information; and an object identification result verification unit verifying an identification result of an object, included in the broadcasting content, by using the content knowledge information. Accordingly, verification performance is improved.
