PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device that has high luminous efficiency while utilizing a green sulfide phosphor.SOLUTION: A light emitting device has a light emitting element 1 which emits blue light, a sealing resin 12 covering the light emitting element, and a sulfide phosphor-containing layer 20 arranged outside the sealing resin, the sealing resin includes at least one of a KSF phosphor whose composition is expressed by a general formula A[MMnF] and which absorbs a part of the blue light emitted from the light emitting element and emits red light, and an MGF phosphor whose composition is expressed by a general formula (x-a)MgO (a/2)ScOyMgFcCaF(1-b)GeO(b/2)MtO:zMn, and which absorbs a part of the blue light emitted from the light emitting element and emits red light, and the sulfide phosphor-containing layer includes a sulfide phosphor 24 whose composition is expressed by a general formula MGaS:Eu, and which absorbs a part of the blue light emitted from the light emitting element and emits green light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
