PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical power monitor device capable of accurately monitoring power of output light or reflected light.SOLUTION: An optical power monitor device 1 comprises: a first optical fiber which is at least one of an incident-side optical fiber 2 and an emission-side optical fiber 3 that are connected to each other at a contact point J, and which has a curved section 2B and a linear section 2A from an end (a curvature starting point S) of the curved section 2B to the contact point J; a low refractive index layer 13 which is provided in a position outside a cladding 11 and at least a part of the linear section 2A of the first optical fiber, and which has a lower refractive index than the cladding 11; and a first photodetector (a reflected light monitoring photodetector 6) provided at least at a location closer to the curved section 2B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
