PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel inspection apparatus configured to efficiently and accurately detect a defect on a touch panel, according to the characteristics of various areas on the touch panel and inspection conditions.SOLUTION: A touch panel inspection apparatus and a method are disclosed. The touch panel inspection apparatus includes: a video acquisition section which acquires video by imaging a touch-panel glass sheet including a plurality of cell areas as one whole area, or imaging sub-areas; an area setting section which receives an input to specify a periodic comparison area and a cell-to-cell comparison area, with respect to the video; and a defect detection section which performs at least one of first video inspection for comparing pixels in the periodic comparison area in the video with a preset period unit, and second video inspection for comparing at least three of the cell areas in the cell-to-cell comparison area in the video, to detect a defect on the glass sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
