A method for obtaining a response message for a CB access uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE) is disclosed, wherein comprising: performing a contention-based (CB) access uplink transmission; determining one group of potential resources for one or multiple response message block candidates for the CB access uplink transmission, wherein the one group of potential resources comprise one or more subgroups of resources; receiving, on the one group of potential resources, the transmission of the one or more response message block candidates, wherein each of the one or more response message block candidates is transmitted with a repetition number; decoding at least one response message candidate within the one or more response message block candidates; determining the at least one decoded response message candidate as intended for the UE. A method for obtaining a response message for a CB access uplink transmission by a user equipment (UE), further comprising: determining another group of potential resources if the one or more response message block candidates within the one group of potential resources are determined as not intended for the UE; receiving, on the another group of potential resources, the transmission of the one or more response message block candidates. |
