In the aquaculture industry, feeding fish is an activity which has high economic impact and which is negatively affected by many factors. To solve this, the programmable automatic feeder for fish and other animals is a small apparatus made of PBC or ABS plastic and which can be adapted to any container of a desired size. The apparatus contains a programmable electronic circuit inside a main body in order to control, at the programmed time, a motor for opening and closing a gate, a motor that moves an impeller, and a vibrator. Depending on the model, different variants are available, including: three speeds; local or remote programming; two types of impeller for supplying food at short or long distance; sensitivity to daylight; an audible alarm for the animals; and an intermittent LED light to indicate that the apparatus is working. The apparatus can be charged by alternating current from 110 to 220 VAC or by an external battery charged by a photovoltaic cell by means of a charge controller. |
