The present invention relates to the field of catalysts and applications thereof. Disclosed are a catalyst for selectively oxidizing hydrogen sulfide to element sulphur, catalyst for burning exhaust gas, and process for deeply catalytically oxidizing hydrogen sulfide to sulphur, the catalyst for selectively oxidizing hydrogen sulfide to element sulphur being prepared by the following raw materials of the following mass percent: 10-34% of iron trioxide and 60-84% of anatase titanium dioxide, and the balance being an auxiliary agent. Also provided is a catalyst for burning exhaust gas prepared by the following raw materials of the following mass percent: 48-78% of iron trioxide and 18-48% of anatase titanium dioxide, and the balance being an auxiliary agent. The catalyst of the present invention has high selectivity and high sulphur recovery rate. The present invention respectively fills a constant-temperature reactor and a heat-insulating reactor connected in series with the above two catalysts for reactions, thus recycling sulphur, reducing total sulphur in the exhaust gas, having a high sulphur yield and conversion rate, and having low total sulphur in the exhaust gas.
