An image capturing apparatus comprises: a mode switching unit which switches an operation mode of the image capturing apparatus in response to an instruction from a user; a display control unit which controls a reproduced image to be displayed in a reproduction mode; and a control unit which controls to set at least a part of settings from image capturing settings when the reproduced image is captured in the image capturing apparatus, switch from the reproduction mode to an image capturing mode, and display a live view image to which the part of settings is reflected based on attribute information of the reproduced image being displayed in response to accepting a specific instruction when the reproduced image is displayed in the reproduction mode. |
